You get this big adrenaline rush from your nerves. You’re not completely sure whether or not people will enjoy your performance. You get chills, & your palms get clammy. But when you’re out there, doing your thing, nothing else matters. The crowd doesn’t matter, your mistakes don’t matter. It’s just you, and the mic. What you bring to the table disappears and you get this sudden high of the good or bad vibe of the crowd. &you just start having fun. Once you’re done, reality hits, & you’ve noticed what you’ve been doing this entire time. You realize what you’ve just done. You don’t know whether it was good or not, but you know you did it. &then the rush of applause is heard all around, whether it be because of your raw talent, or just having the balls to perform in front of everyone.

It’s a great feeling, & I love it.

This book seriously made me cry. Multiple times. It’s a fantastic read.
